The CAMPAIGN for
The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park
We invite you to GROW with us, INSPIRE new audiences, and
help The Garden FLOURISH for years to come!
HELP US REACH OUR CAMPAIGN GOALS
After a very successful decade of expansion and programming, The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park is at a strategically important juncture. With your help, the full vision for The Botanic Garden as an invaluable educational and recreational asset for our communities can be realized. Your gifts will assist us to:
GROW
GROW our educational partnerships and impacts within the community through the renovation of the historic dairy barn as an education and conference center. This facility will greatly expand The Garden’s capacity to offer workshops, classes, and cultural events for people of all ages throughout the year. The planned renovation will honor and preserve the history and structure of the building and include sustainable, energy efficient elements. In addition to providing space for educational and cultural programming, this larger space will augment the region’s gathering spaces for meetings and special events. Revenue from venue rentals will, in turn, support the continuing growth of The Garden.
INSPIRE
INSPIRE new opportunities for children’s experiential learning and discovery through the development of a Children’s Sensory Garden. The Friendly Garden Club of Traverse City is partnering with The Botanic Garden to establish a long-planned component of our master plan: a delightful garden designed for all children, including those with special needs, where they can explore, plant, and learn more about the natural world around them.
FLOURISH
FLOURISH as an organization, ensuring long term sustainability and growth through expanded capacity, programming, and service to the region. Wider audiences, year-round programming, and revenue from venue rentals will generate income to support expanded operations.
TOTAL PHILANTHROPY GOAL: $2.6 MILLION
